Helen Noir is a London-based soprano who combines performance work with composing, orchestration, sound design and production.

She works in film, theatre, fashion, concert hall and performance art.

Helen is also a longterm member of cult performance art group Theo Adams Company, with whom she is regularly on stage as well as working on soundtracks and music production.  

She is resident composer and music director for The AIDS Play Project, which celebrates the work of playwright whose lives were cut short by HIV/AIDS.

Upcoming and recent work includes After Sex at the Arcola, co-scoring horror feature The Otherkind, audio post-production and sound consultancy for acclaimed theatre show Re-Member Me, music/sound design for short films Microcosm (with Vanessa Redgrave), Isn’t It a Beautiful World (for Circa award winner Joseph Wilson), Baby Lies Truthfully (with Russell Tovey), Stage Play, and the composition and performance of a specially commissioned original soundtrack for the BFI’s Weimar season.

Helen is also a professor of electronic and produced music at Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
